As part of the Government's Strategy to improve young people's life chances and their relationships with the communities in which they live, Liverpool, along with nine other Local Authorities was successful in proposals to deliver the Empowering Young People's Pilot (EYPP).
The Pilot delivery mechanism was a variant of the 08 Card after Livesmart won a full tender process for the contract. Cards offered young people the equivalent of £40 per month in the form of credits to exchange for positive activities. A specific focus was to embrace and engage with both the private and public sector.
