Livesmart have announced an exciting partnership with 2010 Year of Health & Wellbeing. This means 08 Cardholders will be entitled to special deals, updates and privileges as part of achieving their “5 ways to wellbeing”.
Livesmart will use the free 08 Card to promote reasons to participate in the special year through direct cardholder benefits. These benefits will also include a variety of savings on healthy food choices, incentives to get active, ways to connect with culture and the people around you.
Liverpool’s official capital of culture card has enjoyed a successful refresh, now offering cardholders extended lifestyle savings for the first time.
Merseyside residents have been enjoying great deals on shopping, dining, nights out, gyms and other lifestyle benefits since over 30 new city based partners welcomed the FREE 08 card in their venues, nearly a month ago.
The new venues include a mix of national brands including Pizza Express, Coffee Republic and established local businesses such as Gusto and Silverberg Opticians.
Since its re-launch, even more businesses have shown interest in offering cardholders great deals, including national brands such as Habitat based in Liverpool One.
Savings at cultural and music venues have also remained popular among cardholders with priority ticket allocations to concerts and savings on entry into attractions.
The free card, which is run by lifestyle smartcard specialist Livesmart, was launched to support the European Capital of Culture year and is free and available to every Merseyside resident.
More than 100,000 people hold an 08 Card and the staff behind the scheme are encouraging people to make the most of the new offers.

Livesmart were delighted to collect the “Business of the Year Award” Award from Downtown Liverpool in Business at a glittering ceremony.
Over 200 of the city’s leading business leaders gathered at the Sefton Park Palm House for the 5th DLIB Liverpool Business Awards to see Livesmart crowned with the prestigious title.
The team and their invited guests were in attendance at this annual event. David Wade Smith, Carl Speight and Vicky Jaycock took to the stage to collect the award, presented by Richard Mathias of DWF. David Wade Smith, Chairman, took the opportunity to thank the partners, cardholders and business organisations including DLIB, who had supported Livesmart since 2004.
